NHS Pharmacy First Scotland

From July 29th 2020 NHS Pharmacy First Scotland will be launched, it is a NHS service provided by your local pharmacy

If you have a minor illness, a pharmacy is the first place you should go for advice

You should not need an appointment for a minor illness and you can go to any pharmacy

Your pharmacist can give you advice for a minor illness and medicine if they think you need it

Any one who is registered with a Dr and living in Scotland is eligible to use the service

 

A Pharmacist can give you advice and treatment (if you need it) for minor illness such as the following:

  • Acne
  • Allergies
  • Athletes foot
  • Backache
  • Blocked or runny nose
  • Cold Sores
  • Constipation
  • Cough
  • Cystitis (in women)
  • Diarrhoea
  • Earache
  • Eczema
  • Headache
  • Head lice
  • Haemorrhoids (piles)
  • Hay Feaver
  • Impetigo
  • Indigeston
  • Mouth Ulcers
  • Pain
  • Period Pains
  • Sore Throat
  • Threadworms
  • Thrush
  • Warts and Verrucas

 

Please only contact the GP surgery should the pharmacist feel that it is better for you to see the GP (please advise our admin team of this this when calling)
