Linlithgow Group Medical Practice

Medical education

GP Registrar

Since 1995 we have been a recognised training practice, which means that a new GP Registrar joins us every year. These doctors are fully qualified and will have had experience in several hospital specialties, and are here to learn the essentials of good general practice. They normally bring with them a bright, enthusiastic approach which should be beneficial to everyone.

Other training doctors and medical students

Our practice provides some teaching each year for a doctor on the West Lothian Vocational Training Scheme for General Practice. These doctors visit the practice for 2 days every 6 months but do not see patients on their own. We occasionally have medical students attached to the practice, these student can sit in on various clinics to gain knowledge and experience.
